This is an oil painting class for all levels.
Goldenrod is one of the first signs that Autumn is right around the corner. The bright yellows and ochres begin to take over the fields in late August. Earthy siennas have been gradually replacing the verdant foilage. Before long the leaves begin their slow gradual transformation from green to a multitude colors.
Our focus in this class will be capturing these colors and exploiting them to the full effect, as we see fit, in our own personal world of color. Whether you paint bold and bright or subdued and tonal, I will help you organize and make sense of the Autumn colors we see. I will demonstrate in the morning and you will paint from your photo reference and/or studies in the afternoon. Bring in any and all photo reference you'd like to paint from. We can take a look, select then draw up a plan to see your vision through.
About Kevin Feary
Kevin has taken classes and workshops from local and nationally known artists throughout his career and has been honing his skills studying, drawing and painting. He creates commissioned pieces, murals and paints from life through figure/portrait sessions and plein air. He teaches plein air and portrait workshops and demonstrates for art groups locally and across America. Kevin’s work can be seen at the Pat Rini Rohrer Gallery in Canandaigua, NY.
Kevin is a member of The All Weather Gang, Batavia Society of Artists, signature member of the Genesee Valley Plein Air Painters, signature member of the Rochester Art Club, Penn Yan Art Guild, associate member of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, and Greater Rochester Plein Air Painters.
Kevin has been juried into multiple shows including NOAPS Best of America Small Works 2019, 2021, 2023, NOAPS Best Of America International 2023, has received numerous awards over the years. Best In Show Genesee Valley Plein Air Painters Annual Winter Show 2023, Best In Show Batavia Society of Artists Spring Show 2023, Finger Lakes Plein Air Festival 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, Lighthouse Plein Air Festival 2016, 2017, Plein Air Funfest 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, finalist in the 2010 OPA Eastern Regional Exhibition and finalist in the Artist’s Magazine 25th Annual Art Competition.

REFUND POLICY FOR SPECILITY WORKSHOPS
We understand that things come up and sometimes people must cancel their workshop reservation. Please help us continue to offer rich and engaging workshop experiences with top artists at the most affordable costs possible, by reading and adhering to our cancellation, refund, and transfer policies.
Cancellations
Pat Rini Rohrer Gallery LLC reserves the right to cancel a class or workshop if enrollment minimums are not met or if there is an emergency which requires us to do so. In the event PRR Gallery LLC needs to cancel, workshop participants will be notified with a phone call and email within 48 hours of the expected start time. If an emergency the day of the workshop forces a cancellation, all workshop participants will be notified by phone and text message. In the event of a workshop cancellation by Pat Rini Rohrer Gallery LLC, a full refund will be given or the student will have the option to transfer to another class if there is availability and space.
Refund Requests for Specialty Workshops
Refund requests must be made via email, by phone, or in person no later than 10 days from the workshop date for a full refund if you paid cash or via check. Refunds via credit card refund will reflect a 5% fee.
50 % percent of the workshop fee will be refunded for requests made 9-4 days prior to a workshop. Refund requests made 3 days or less prior to a workshop will not be issued. Missed workshop classes are non-refundable.
Transfers
If you would like to transfer your workshop reservation to a different workshop offered at Pat Rini Rohrer Gallery LLC or transfer your reservation to another person, you must do so prior to 10 days from the workshop date. Please call us at 585-394-0030 to do so.
