Nancy Lane
Canandaigua artist Nancy Lane has been a professional painter for 36 years. She has a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art, with study at Parsons School of Design and Temple University in Rome, Italy.
For much of her career, she was an award-winning illustrator of 23 picture books. In the last 10 years she has focused on painting portraits and landscapes in the realist tradition, from life. She teaches skills-based watercolor and drawing. She is a Signature member of Rochester Art Club and Genesee Valley Plein Air Painters. Her work is in private and corporate collections. In May 2020 she will have work in the American Women Artist’s exhibit at Booth Western Art Museum in Clarksville, Georgia.
