2 Days $210 per person
This two-day workshop will cover the basic aspects of plein air oil painting for experienced and inexperienced plein air painters alike. If you're a studio painter and want to try plein air, then, this is for you. Experienced plein air oil painter? I will show you how I decide what to paint, how I design a painting and the methods I use. I'm often asked, "How do you decide what to paint, there's so much out there?" Topics like that and how to simplify your initial design to create a compelling painting will be covered. I will talk and demonstrate in the morning and you will paint after lunch while I give everyone personal attention.
Individual instruction will be given both days as you work on your designs. Bring the supplies you're most comfortable using. As always, you can borrow any of mine. Maximum 9 attendees per workshop day!! Meet up locations to TBD and advised by June 14th.
Plein Air Materials List is available.
For those who do not have a PLEIN Air Outdoor Easel, the gallery offers to rent a wooden French Easel Box to use for the 2 days for additional $25 to the class price. We have 4 boxes on hand to reserve – first come, first served.
