Cheryl Leonard VanDenburg
Cheryl Leonard Van Denburg has lived in Canandaigua Lake and drawn inspiration from the Finger Lakes Region for over 30 years with her own identifiable style which weaves its pattern through the ever changing metamorphosis of her work.
She has lived and painted in Chicago and studied at the Chicago Art Institute, Triton College and College of DuPage during her 14 years there. Painting has always been her closet friend. Travel and a ‘Wanderlust” for far places has taken her to middle Europe, South America and South Africa. Her passion for outdoor ‘Plein Air” painting has led her on many adventures in the world. Cheryl’s theory is that a photograph can provide a better picture, but she can give you her opinion through painting. Comfortable in both watercolor and oil, her work is characterized by movement and mood. Her work is in corporate and private collections throughout the United States and in Europe.
