What inspires mixed media artist Brenda Lyness to paint? Color……………lots of color. “When I experience a moment, see a vista or space filled with color or high contrast, it excites me. I must capture it onto my canvas.”

I don’t enjoy planning for a piece. I love the happy accidents that occur as I push paint. Ever changing, evolving, alive, dynamic!  It’s finished when I see it, and feel it. I use mainly acrylics as my preferred medium to express, explore and experiment. I love layering paint to achieve the depth of color and texture that best describes my style.
